When it came to prepping for this project I looked back at the fairy tales I read as a child. From my adult perspective, I understood that these princesses have no power over their own destiny. In my images I present Cinderella as a seductive, independent, and fierce princess in high fashion looks, instead of the sexless and docile creature portrayed in the classic story.

As I have evolved as a photographer and young woman, I realize that my photos are about more than fashion, but imagine my subjects as strong women, not just stylistically, but in control over their own lives. Through this project I strive to subvert the traditional archetypes of women in classic stories who have no agency.
